Ingredients:

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce (such as Frank's RedHot)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Celery sticks and ranch or blue cheese dressing for serving

 1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

2. In a bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

3. Dip each piece of chicken into the buttermilk, allowing any excess to drip off, and then coat it in the seasoned flour mixture. Place the coated chicken pieces on the prepared baking sheet.

4. Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.

5. While the chicken is baking, prepare the Buffalo sauce. In a saucepan, combine the hot sauce, melted butter, white vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce. Heat over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the butter is melted and the sauce is well combined.

6. Once the chicken is cooked, transfer it to a large bowl. Pour the Buffalo sauce over the cooked chicken and toss until the chicken is evenly coated.

7. Serve the Buffalo chicken with celery sticks and your choice of ranch or blue cheese dressing on the side.

Enjoy your homemade Buffalo chicken – a delicious and spicy treat!
